I don't know the future of the franchise and I hope it doesn't turn into the Dark Knight Cop villain relationship. I was happy not to see certain actors but I miss that old dude, Man he was evil. Some parts could have been better but that is always the case. Weaver cant bounce off walls so I am sticking with Kate. There is something cool about Kate, I don't know what cuz she just looks like a normal Brit, but she is def the kick ass chick of this era. Certain "chosen one" themes i found boring and the film really must find other incentives for Werewolves to hunt vamps. The action was tight, the objectives of the film were clear. So understand my rating of 7/10 is factoring in that. The rules of critique that might apply to Spike Lee are therefore not applicable here. Recommended to those who amuse those kind of vampires-werewolves films or those enjoy in general.Lets be honest you do not go into a cinema billing "Underworld: Awakening" expecting "Silence of the Lamb" or "Elegy" this is fast food cinema.

Magnificent special and visual effects as well as excellent make-up department. Most of vampires, Lycans and humans victims are relegated to being bitten in the throat and neck. There's really savage decapitation, plenty of bodies ripped in scraps and half, including some of the most tears ever, that spill lots of blood and numerous get shot up with bullets. Packs large amount of guts and gore, there's a huge body count, this one actually knocks off an immense amount, several vampires and werewolves are staked bloodily in the chest, even more impaled with large claws. This exciting movie displays unstopped action, thrills ride, spectacular fighting, graphic violence, brief nudism with mild sex scene and is pretty entertaining. As the war between vampires and werewolves get more personal and deadly, they decide to launch a full-scale attack on the hideout in order to extinguish the race. Meanwhile, Selene and Michael are going to Tanis's(Steven Mackintosh) fortress for getting information. Their only hope now is to awaken to Markus, the last remaining Elder and expose the truth, before Kraven tries to murder him while he's still in hibernation. It's only a matter of time before they're found.
